Parent Night: Last Lady Rayder Home Games

Barb and Keith Haske greet their daughter Chelsey with a kiss before the final home game of the season. The Lady Rayders fought in hard contests 2/26/09 against the Petoskey teams, both JV and Varsity games were "heart-breakers"... the older girls lost by just a single point!

ElkRapids No Match for the boys in the 'voix

The Charlevoix guys showed so much ability this week in their games against Elk Rapids Wednesday night it was somewhat of a 'No Contest' event. Even without Brock Yenglin (out with a broken hand), the varsity team dominated 74 to 33; and the JV guys did likewise with a score of 83 to 50. But of course, 'ability' is great for the photos!.... take a look:

Lady Rayders crush EJordan 2/24/09

Girls Basketball should be getting more credit in this town. Our teams are terrific! Shauna Spencley (shown here) is just one of the many shooters on the Charlevoix teams that are giving their all to win the games. The final score on this one was Chlx 54 : EJ 29. Mardi Gras Masquerade at the Castle 2/21/09

Hosted by St. Marys as a fund raiser for the school the Mardi Gras at Castle Farms Saturday night was a main event. There were drawings and prizes and no shortage of candidates in the costume contest!

Team Photos can be Chaotic!

...but the results were really fun! The three Charlevoix Lady Rayder teams held still for about 5 seconds each in a whirlwind of photos. The proofs are online for review and purchase, but remember, these are 'proofs'... the fixed up photos will look like the shot of Hannah Hybl when they are edited. (The team groups are done already, also.)

Rayders Battle Boyne to a victory 2/13/09

Justin Friske fights through to another basket for the Rayders as they came back to win the battle over Boyne City 49 to 42 Friday night (2/13/09).

His friends call him "The Wall" because of his strong defensive presence in the post, and tonight he earned the title.
